Description:

It is a free adaptation by Nana Hudo y Orlando González for theater of the story THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD.  It was first presented at the Center of the Arts for All for San Gabriel School for the Deaf on January 31st, 2013.  A production by Ecléctico Internacional, Inc., full of color and cheerful narrators who present the story in sign language accompanied by characters representing the different engines of the story.  Two narrators on the side of the stage narrate in voice and make the special sound effects of the other characters.  A play for all students, deaf as well as non-deaf, and it promotes values such as friendship, persistence, not having fear to do things and commitment towards oneself and others.  A play with clowns, ballerinas, toys and stuffed animals that come to live, fruits, food, wagons, engines and lots of illusion, performed in an interactive and educational manner for children and adults.  A production that travels easily around different spaces and schools with 10 artists committed to children with special needs and the deaf community.  THE LITTLE BLUE ENGINE is a refreshing and needed story in moments when people have forgotten what solidarity is all about.
